The barometer index today hit its lowest level since early April 2007
Ranbaxy Laboratories (down 14.37% at Rs 407.50), HDFC Bank (down 9.85% at Rs 931), ICICI Bank (down 8.52% at Rs 530.45), State Bank of India (down 5.96% at Rs 1,182.70), Reliance Communication (down 5.36% at Rs 414.25), Housing Development Finance Corporation (down 5.32% at Rs 1,830.05), Bharat Heavy Electricals (down 5.30% at Rs 1,392.10), Reliance Infrastructure (down 5.13% at Rs 776), Tata Steel (down 4.98% at Rs 650), and Hindalco Industries (down 4.81% at Rs 143.35), slumped.
