Alchemist Realty slips

Alchemist Realty slipped 0.72% to Rs 474.90 at 15:24 IST on BSE even as the company said on Monday, 10 March 2008, its board will consider stock split in a meeting to be held on 17 March 2008.

The company made this announcement during trading hours today, 10 March 2008.

Meanwhile, BSE Sensex was down 21.15 points or 0.13% to 15,954.37.

On BSE, 5,222 shares were traded in the counter. The scrip had an average daily volume of 6,134 shares in the past one quarter.

The stock hit a high of Rs 490 and a low of Rs 468 far during the day. The stock had a 52-week high of Rs 540.75 on 21 February 2008 and a 52-week low of Rs 52.30 on 11 May 2007.

The small-cap scrip had outperformed the market over the past one month till 7 March 2008, gaining 19.07% compared to the Sensex’s fall of 8.85%. It had also outperformed the market in the past one quarter, rising 41.11% compared to Sensex’s decline of 19.99%.

The company’s current equity is Rs 14.08 crore. Face value per share is Rs 10.

The current price of Rs 474.90 discounts Q3 December 2007 annualized EPS of Rs 4.72 by a PE multiple of 100.61.

Alchemist Realty’s net profit rose 315% to Rs 0.83 crore on 12,670.8% growth in net sales to Rs 30.65 crore in Q3 December 2007 over Q3 December 2006.

The company's principal activity is to develop real estate property.
