NEW DELHI: Graduates of the Indian School of Business (ISB), Hyderabad, are gearing up for their job interviews as the placement season kicks off. Top companies from various sectors are participating in the process to recruit 425 students of 2008 batch at the premier institute.

As many as 200 national and international companies have confirmed campus visits so far this year, and the number is expected to go up by the time placements close by end of March.

An interesting trend this year is that real estate and health care companies, both from India and abroad, are recruiting students for senior roles. The ISB placements are attracting a healthy mix of large business groups as well as niche players across industries.

Goldman Sachs, British Petroleum, Deutsche Bank, Tischman Speyer, Mckinsey, BCG, Barclays Bank, Google, Microsoft, DRL, CB Richard Ellis, Apollo Hospitals, Johnson and Johnson, Unilever and Bharti Group are some of the leading companies that are visiting ISB this year.

Companies from retail, realty, finance, health care, investment banking, hospitality, pharma, insurance, reinsurance, airline and media, are participating in the placements season this time.

“Our focus has always been to increase the diversity in our student body,” Savita Mahajan, associate dean — admissions, career services and strategic initiatives, told ET.

“These efforts have been rewarded with both national and international companies coming to recruit ISB graduates in a wide variety of domains and roles in India and 20 different countries across the globe.”
