Gammon India bounces back on good Q4 results

Gammon India surged 4% to Rs 225 at 15:00 IST on BSE after posting net profit of Rs 21.29 crore in Q4 March 2008 as compared to net loss of Rs 31.90 crore in Q4 March 2007.

The company announced the results after trading hours yesterday, 30 June 2008.

The stock today hit a 52-week low of Rs 204. The stock hit a high of Rs 235 so far during the day. The stock had a 52-week high of Rs 845 on 4 January 2008.

The company has an equity capital of Rs 17.49 crore. Face value per share is Rs 2.

The current price of Rs 225 discounts its Q4 March 2008 annualised EPS of Rs 9.82, by a

PE multiple of 11.10.

Gammon India’s net sales rose 32.4% to Rs 821.61 crore in Q4 March 2008 over Q4 March 2007. Gammon India’s net profit rose 93.7% to Rs 86.15 crore on 26.6% increase in net sales to Rs 2344.91 crore in the year ended March 2008 over the year ended March 2007.

Gammon India provides engineering services and construction of services. It operates in plan, design and undertakes construction of roads, highways, bridges and other projects.
