HCC wins new order

Hindustan Construction Company declined 2.82% to Rs 77.65 at 13:43 IST on BSE even as the company bagged an order worth Rs 340 crore from National Highway Authority of India for laying six lane roads at Badarpur national highway 2 near Delhi.

The company announced the order win during trading hours today, 1 July 2008.

The stock today hit a 52-week low of Rs 76. The stock hit a high of Rs 80.65 so far during the day. The stock had a 52-week high of Rs 278.90 on 2 January 2008.

The company has an equity capital of Rs 25.62 crore. Face value per share is Rs 1.

The current price of Rs 77.65 discounts its Q4 March 2008 annualised EPS of Rs 4.12, by a

PE multiple of 18.85.

In April 2008, Hindustan Construction Company (HCC) won an order worth Rs 303.03 crore from Lanco Infratech for execution of civil works for Teesta Hydroelectric project.

HCC’s net profit declined 28.1% to Rs 26.41 crore on 27.5% growth in net sales to Rs 1055.02 crore in Q4 March 2008 over Q4 March 2007.

The company is engaged in constructing industrial and commercial building. HCC specializes in large-scale civil constructions. It has been continuously developing new age construction technologies.
