Arshhiya International spurts on overseas tie-up project

Arshhiya International surged 4.99% to Rs 287 at 15:30 IST on BSE, on signing a contract with Jurong International, Singapore for undertaking master planning, architecture & engineering of the company's upcoming three free trade warehousing zones.

The company made this announcement during market hours today, 18 February 2008.

Meanwhile, BSE Sensex was down 67.08 points or 0.37% to 18,048.17.

On BSE, 54,632 shares were traded in the counter. The scrip had an average daily volume of 56,172 shares in the past one quarter.

The stock hit a high of Rs 287 and a low of Rs 267 so far during the day. The stock had a 52-week high of Rs 424 on 10 January 2008 and a 52-week low of Rs 119.75 on 7 March 2007.

The mid-cap scrip had underperformed the market over the past one month till 15 February 2008, declining 30.46% compared to the Sensex’s decline of 8.05%. It had outperformed the market in the past one quarter, gaining 7.24% compared to Sensex’s decline of 8.04%.

The company’s current equity is Rs 11 crore. Face value per share is Rs 2.

The current price of Rs 287 discounts its Q3 December 2007 annualized EPS of Rs 1.64, by a PE multiple of 175.

Arshhiya International reported net profit of Rs 2.25 crore in Q3 December 2007 as compared to net loss of Rs 0.79 crore in Q3 December 2006. Net sales rose 32,250% to Rs 51.76 crore in Q3 December 2007 over Q3 December 2006.

The company provides logistics and supply chain management services and development and marketing of software products. The group operates in two segments viz. logistics operations and related services and other segments.
