Ramco Systems recovers on new order win
Ramco Systems was down 0.58% to Rs 164 at 15:04 IST on BSE, having recovered from session's low of Rs as Rs 157.10 after the company secured an order from Landmark Group, India for human capital management solutions.
The company made this announcement during hours today, 6 February 2008.
Meanwhile, BSE Sensex was down 483.82 points or 2.59% to 18,179.34 as Asian markets tumbled after another recessionary piece of US economic data sent Wall Street shares down nearly 3% on Tuesday, 5 February 2008.
On BSE, 1,252 shares were traded in the counter. The scrip had an average daily volume of 24,135 shares in the past one quarter.
The stock hit a high of Rs 165 and a low of Rs 157.10 so far during the day. The stock had a 52-week high of Rs 256.90 on 31 December 2007 and a 52-week low of Rs 119 on 5 April 2007.
The small-cap scrip had underperformed the market over the past one month till 5 February 2008, declining 29.01% compared to the Sensex’s decline of 10.33%. It had outperformed the market in the past one quarter, gaining 11.79% compared to Sensex’s decline of 3.25%.
The company’s current equity is Rs 15.35 crore. Face value per share is Rs 10.
The current price of Rs 164 discounts its Q3 December 2007 annualized EPS of Rs 74.20, by a PE multiple of 2.21.
Landmark group is one of the largest retail organizations in the Middle East and has been expanding aggressively in the Indian market.
Ramco's human capital management (HCM) solution comprises workforce management, staffing, attendance management, employee development, compensation & benefits and planning to meet the strategic needs.
The company provides software solutions. The group operates in two segments: software solutions and services and secure converged networking.
Ramco Systems reported net profit of Rs 28.55 crore in Q3 December 2007 as compared to net loss of Rs 5.23 crore in Q2 September 2007. Sales rose 18.89% to Rs 25.31 crore in Q3 December 2007 over Q2 September 2007.
