Gujarat NRE Coke robust quarterly results

Gujarat NRE Coke spurted 8.33% to Rs 32.50 at 9:55 IST on BSE, as net profit surged 718.73% to Rs 102.75 crore in Q2 September 2008 over Q2 September 2007..
The stock hit a high of Rs 33 and a low of Rs 31.70 so far during the day. The stock has a 52-week high of Rs 129.29 on 27 February 2008 and a 52-week low of Rs 22.14 on 10 October 2008.
The stock surged 3.63% to Rs 30 on 31 October 2008, ahead of the results.
The company’s current equity is Rs 471.98 crore. Face value per share is Rs 10.
The current price of Rs 32.50 discounts the company’s Q2 September 2008 annualized EPS of Rs 12.19, by a PE multiple of 2.67.
Gujarat NRE Coke’s total income jumped 339.04% to Rs 49.87 crore in Q2 September 2008 over Q2 September 2007. The company announced the results on Saturday, 1 November 2008.
The company is the largest independent producer of low ash metallurgical coke in the country. It manufactures low ash metallurgical coke for the steel industry, soda ash plants, zinc smelters and foundries.
