Lloyd Electric & Engineering on overseas acquisition

Lloyd Electric & Engineering rose 3.13% to Rs 117 at 10:03 IST on BSE after it announced acquisition of Luvata Czech s.r.o. in Prague, Czech republic through its special purpose vehicle Lioyd Coils Czech s.r.o.

The stock hit a high of Rs 120 and a low of Rs 114.75 so far during the day. The stock had a 52-week high of Rs 224 on 30 July 2007 and the stock hit a 52-week low of Rs 89.25 on 24 March 2008.

The company’s current equity is Rs 31 crore. Face value per share is Rs 10.

The current market price of Rs 117 discounts its Q4 March 2008 annualised EPS of Rs 19.91 by a PE multiple of 5.87.

Luvata Czech is a significant player in manufacturing customised finned pack heat exchangers serving the heating ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration for its customers throughout Europe.

In FY 2007 Luvata Czech reported total revenues of about euro 30.6 million with EBITDA of about euro 1.88 million.

Lloyd Electric & Engineering manufactures condenser coils and evaporator coils. Its products are used in window, package, automotive and split air-conditioners. The company also supplies products to many original equipment manufacturers.

The company’s net profit rose 1.5% to Rs 15.43 crore on 21% rise in sales to Rs 185.47 crore in Q4 March 2008 over Q4 March 2007.
