Mid-day Multimedia in the news after improved Q4 figures

Mid-day Multimedia gained 2.85% to Rs 34.25 at 11:30 IST on BSE after posting net profit of Rs 0.23 crore in the Q4 March 2008 as compared to net loss of Rs 2.88 crore in Q4 March 2007.

The stock hit a high of Rs 34.40 and a low of Rs 32.10 so far during the day. The stock had a 52-week high of Rs 68.25 on 5 December 2007 and a 52-week low of Rs 23 on 24 March 2008.

The company’s current equity is Rs 51.17 crore. Face value per share is Rs 10.

The current price of Rs 34.25 discounts its Q4 March 2008 annualised EPS of Rs 0.18, by a PE multiple of 190.28.

Mid-day Multimedia’s net profit fell 64.55% to Rs 3.9 crore on 1.06% rise in total income to Rs 110.91 crore in the year ended March 2008 over the year ended March 2007.

Mid-Day Multimedia publishes the Mumbai-based tabloids Mid-Day, Morning Quick and Urdu language daily Inquilab. Sportsweek, a weekly on sports updates, also belongs to the Mid-Day stable. Besides, the media conglomerate also operates the GO 92.5 FM radio channel.
