Uflex spurts on strong Q4 show

Uflex jumped 6.52% to Rs 156.80 at 9:58 IST on BSE after posting 60.6% surge in net profit to Rs 24.84 crore on 13.9% rise in net sales to Rs 362.42 crore in Q4 March 2008 over Q4 March 2007.

The company announced results during trading hours yesterday, 6 May 2008, when the stock rose 0.07% to Rs 147.20.

On BSE, only a single shares was traded in the counter. The scrip had an average daily volume of 14,763 shares in the past one quarter.

The stock had a 52-week high of Rs 253 on 4 January 2008 and a 52-week low of Rs 108 on 4 April 2008.

The company’s current equity is Rs 13.50 crore. Face value per share is Rs 10.

The current price of Rs 156.80 discounts its Q4 March 2008 annualised EPS of Rs 15.29, by a PE multiple of 10.26.

Uflex’s net profit rose 39.71% to Rs 62.31 crore on 5.21% rise in total income to Rs 1337.81 crore in the year ended March 2008 (FY 2008) over the year ended March 2007 (FY 2007).

The company is engaged in manufacturing, developing and marketing flexible plastic materials and rotogravure cylinders and shims. The products comprises of polyester films, metalised and specialty films, BOPP films, poly films, polyester chips of different grades, various combinations of packaging laminates, rotogravure printing, anilox/coating rollers for flexo printing and holographic embossing.
