Unitech spurts on getting mobile services spectrum

Unitech soared 4.57% to Rs 332.70 at 14:18 IST on BSE after the company said Department of Telecommunications has allotted to the company's subsidiary company, 4.4 MHz of Spectrum in 1800 MHz GSM band in respect of Orissa service area.

The stock hit a high of Rs 336 and a low of Rs 318 so far during the day. The stock had a 52-week high of Rs 546.80 on 2 January 2008 and a 52-week low of Rs 207.55 on 3 May 2007.

The company’s current equity is Rs 324.68 crore. Face value per share is Rs 2.

The current price of Rs 332.70 discounts its Q3 December 2007 annualised EPS of Rs 9.09, by a PE multiple of 36.60.

In January 2008, Unitech’s subsidiaries received letter of intent from Department of Telecommunications for providing Unified Access Services in all the 22-telecom circles across the country.

Unitech’s net profit declined 18.4% to Rs 368.92 crore on 18.4% decline in sales to Rs 818.51 crore in Q3 December 2007 over Q3 December 2006.

Unitech is engaged in civil engineering, construction and housing development projects. It has also undertaken the construction of thermal power, steel and petrochemical plants and public utility buildings for a number of reputed public and private sector companies.
